7 new applications hit by malware

Once again, there are 7 applications distributed with confidence on the Google Play Store that are actually struck by malware.

Kaspersky computer security specialists have found malicious code camouflaged in a lot of applications distributed on the official Android application market. You should therefore uninstall them if you had downloaded them:

  • Fancy Image Blur
  • Auto Photo Cut
  • Photo Cut Master
  • DJ Mixer 2019 – 3D DJ App
  • PDF Reader, PDF Viewer for Android
  • PDF Reader, PDF Viewer and Epub reader free
  • Volume Booster & Bass Booster

The malware in question is responsible for displaying advertisements on the user's smartphone. These advertisements often take the form of a popup which disturbs the user at any time. This does not represent a great danger for personal data, but this display linked to Internet connections can handicap the subscription data plan and reduce the autonomy of the terminals.

In total, the applications have been downloaded more than 28,000 times and Google has not yet removed all the relevant apps from its store.
