As for the rumor about the name of the “iPhone Xr”, it is disclosed by the site VentureBeat. According to the site, the designation of “iPhone 9” should be ruled out.

The name “iPhone Xr” became the supposed title of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, which will be found below the iPhone Xs, but above the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the hierarchy of the Apple range.

Like the name Max is difficult to swallow, since the name “Xr” has not been used for an Apple product before and, apart from earlier in the alphabet, has no obvious meaning. As the Xs Max , the name Xr should be taken with at least a grain of salt at this time.
