Bouygues Télécom’s 5G will land in France this Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Initially, only 20 French cities will be able to access the mobile network deployed by the operator of Martin Bouygues. Here is the complete list of metropolises covered.
5G is finally a reality in France. A few days after the official kick-off, SFR opened the game by activating the mobile network in the city of Nice. During December, 120 other municipalities will be able to benefit from SFR 5G.
This Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Bouygues Télécom is following in SFR’s footsteps by activating its 5G network in 20 major French cities. To connect to the network, you must first invest in a smartphone compatible with 5G, such as the iPhone 12, the Galaxy S20 or the OnePlus 8T.

You must also subscribe to one of the 3 5G packages offered by Bouygues Télécom. The cost of the offers ranges from € 41.99 / month for 60 GB to € 69.99 / month for 120 GB. In addition, the operator offers a low cost 5G package through its B & You brand. This non-binding plan allows you to take advantage of 5G (and a 130 GB data envelope) for the sum of 25 € / month.

These are only the largest French cities covered by the 5G network, specifies Bouygues. The telecom will shortly put online a map which details which municipalities are covered. Finally, Bouygues Télécom aims to cover the entire French population with 5G by the end of 2021.
For its part, Orange will activate its network on Thursday, December 3, 2020. For the time being, only Free Mobile has not yet communicated a precise launch date.
