You need to export your contacts to transfer or simply save them. In this short guide we will explain how to export your iPhone contacts to an Android smartphone, PC or Mac.
Method 1: export contacts from iPhone (vCard / CSV / Excel)
This method does not imply the use of iPhone data transfer software, for this go to method 2 below.
- An iPhone with an iCloud account
- A computer with internet access
See you in the Settings > At the top of the settings, type where appears your name > iCloud and make sure that Contacts is good activated.
On your PC or Mac computer open an internet browser (Safari, Firefox or Chrome) and go to icloud.com.
Enter the email used for your iCloud / AppStore account then your password and go to the app Contacts, still on your browser.
At the bottom left click on the small gear then click on Select all > Export a vCard
A .vcf file will then be automatically downloaded, it contains all of your contacts.
Now you just need to send this .vcf file by email for example to the new iPhone or an Android smartphone. When the file is opened, you will then be offered to import the contacts to the new device. And it works the same way for a Windows computer or PC, just open the file.
Method 2: Transfer your contacts to any iPhone, Android, PC or Mac device
There are many ways to export and import iPhone contacts, here we will offer you a simple method of managing this manipulation thanks to free software compatible with Windows and Mac.
Download the EaseUS MobiMover software for your Windows PC or Mac. Then launch the software on your computer. Don’t forget to connect your iPhone via USB to your computer.
First choose the operation to perform. Transfer from your computer to an iPhone. From an iPhone to a computer, finally from an iPhone to an iPhone.
Select the place where you want to export the contacts on the computer then uncheck Photo, Audio, Video and in More, select only Contacts then click on To transfer.
You must now deactivate the synchronization of contacts with iCloud, for this on your iPhone, go to the Settings > At the top of the settings, type where appears your name > iCloud and make sure that Contacts is good disabled then click on Carry on on the software from your computer.
The contacts have now been compiled into a .vcf file that you can share by email and import to any device. You have to repeat the operation if you want to export your contacts to another iPhone this time.
