the professional secure tablet with IBM and Samsung

The Canadian manufacturer Blackberry tried their luck in touchscreen tablets with a model Playbook launched a year after Apple's first iPad tablet and which it tried to present as a business productivity tool complementary to its smartphones.

Despite its qualities and the support of BlackBerry 10, the tablet did not meet the expected success and the difficulties encountered by the manufacturer did not allow to continue efforts in this segment, the company preferring to focus on BlackBerry 10, new smartphones and its expertise in mobile security.

SecuTablet BlackBerry has just announced the SecuTablet at CeBIT 2015 in Hanover, a product from its subsidiary Secusmart acquired in 2014, and which is based on cross-partnerships with the Samsung and IBM groups.

In fact, the SecuTablet is actually a tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 under Android with security layers allowing its use in business and in the public sector by government agencies.

The tablet therefore embeds Secusmart security solutions, already at work to protect communications from the German and Canadian governments, as well as IBM technologies to ensure partitioning between personal and professional data on the tablet.

SecuTablet also strengthens links between BlackBerry and Samsung after support for services BES12 within the security solution Knox equipping several of the Korean group's Android mobile terminals.

This announcement goes in the direction of a promotion wanted by CEO John Chen of the know-how of the Canadian manufacturer in terms of mobile security and along an axis which is no longer solely concentrated on the BlackBerry platform.
