the new Tizen OS smartphone released in July?

The platform Tizen OS has already found a place in the Samsung group's connected watches and in some of its televisions, but on the smartphone side, its distribution is still limited. Indeed, only one model is available on the market, and in only a few countries: the Samsung z1.

The opening of the Tizen Store portal to the whole world suggests that the Korean manufacturer does not intend to stay and several rumors have evoked the existence of new Tizen smartphones, as a Samsung z2 or one Samsung Z LTE.

Samsung Z3 Tizen

The Tizen Experts website now claims that the Samsung Z2 will not finally be launched to make way directly for a smartphone Samsung z3 expected from the start of the second half of 2015. Its characteristics would be comparable to those of the Galaxy Prime Core, except for the screen which would drop from 4.5 inches to 5 inches on the new model.

The Samsung Z3 would measure 9 mm thick and would ship a processor SnapDragon 410 quadcore 64-Bit, with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory expandable by microSD port. The smartphone should offer a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel module on the front.

The whole thing would be powered by a 2000 mAh battery. Difficult to know what it is really about Samsung's Tizen strategy, when the manufacturer had already postponed its Z1 model several times before finally launching it in India and Bangladesh.

Tizen OS should serve as an alternative to the Android platform, but creating the necessary ecosystem takes time and must gain the support of application developers. Samsung therefore probably weighs carefully the pros and cons of new smartphone launches.
