Koji Igarashi, the creator of Castlevania, breaks records with his project project, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, since it is now the video game that has collected the most money on the funding platform Kickstarter.
Known for having worked on the Castlevania series since its inception and until the takeover of the franchise by the Spanish studio MercurySteam, Koji Igarashi embarked on the bet of creating a spiritual successor to his action / adventure license.
Baptized Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the title sports many winks to Castlevania, if only for the realization in 2D and in horizontal scrolling and the Gothic atmosphere. Being funded on the Kickstarter platform, the game was so successful that it had tosurpassed the $ 4.5 million mark, while the initial target was set at $ 500,000.
As a result, it is clearly the video game that has raised the most money on Kickstarter, surpassing that of Torment: Tides of Numenera and its $ 4.1 million.
The Inti Creates studio therefore had to provide more services following these highly satisfactory results. Also, the title initially planned for PC (Windows / GNU / Linux), Mac, PS4 and Xbox One, will also be adapted for Wii U and PS Vita. The output is indicated for march 2017.
