The smartphone HTC One M9 was unveiled at the MWC 2015 fair in Barcelona in early March and begins its marketing phase but that does not prevent the manufacturer from offering its HTC One M8 model from 2014 in a new version HTC One M8s.
Significantly comparable to the initial model with its metal shell and its 5 inch Full HD display, the HTC One M8s abandons the Ultrapixel photo sensor on the back for a 13 megapixel module, always accompanied by a second sensor for telemetry, while a 5 megapixel camera is present on the front.
The other big change is the switch to a 64-Bit processor. Instead of the SnapDragon 801 32-Bit, it's a SoC SnapDragon 615 octocore (4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores and 4 ARM Cortex-A57 cores) 64-Bit which is offered with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space, expandable by microSD port.
The HTC One M8s also has a 2840 mAh battery while it is 2600 mAh for the HTC One M8 of 2014 and it takes advantage of the Android 5.0 Lollipop platform with HTC Sense overlay. it should soon be offered in Europe for a price corresponding to a mid-range smartphone, around 500 ?.
UPDATE 11:40 a.m. : HTC One M8s will be launched next week in France for a price of ? 429 incl. bare.
