Famous FPS which allowed him to establish a genre, Quake is one of the 90s action games from id Software. The title served as the basis for the project of a modder, with a view to rotate on an oscilloscope.
This slightly crazy objective imagined by Pekka Väänänen has come to an end, since the developer runs Quake on the Hitachi V-422, an old oscilloscope which exploits new functionalities.
To achieve this result, Väänänen produced an audio rendering of the image which is then converted into vector lines by the oscilloscope.
The whole of his project is explained on his website at this address. Anyway, the video rendering below leaves us dreaming!
