At the world mobility fair currently being held in Barcelona, ??Intel unveiled its new solutions for equipping conventional smartphones, phablet smartphones and touch pads.
The Santa Clara firm gave more details on the family Atom X3 which responds to the code name Sofia and which intends to equip the smartphones, but also on families Atom X5 / Atom X7 who respond to the code name Cherry Trail and who will animate touch tablets or some tablet / netbook hybrids.
Twenty manufacturers, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Jolla and Lenovo, have already ordered to equip their next products which will benefit from an architecture multicore, of a support 64-bit and compatibility 3G or even 4G and who will land from first semester 2015.
Also at MWC, Intel also discussed its new modem XMM 7360 LTE compatible which manages 5 modes and offers flow rates of category 10 in order to cover a maximum geographic area and offer high speeds (up to 450 Mbit / s in reception).
The American firm has finally demonstrated an LTE / Wi-Fi module, with a part pre-5G and part 802.11ad Wi-Fi. Flow rates exceed 1 Gbit / s.
