While Qualcomm unveils its Snapdragon 820 SoC and Intel presents its Atom X3 solutions, MediaTek formalizes its platform MT6753 that it is intended for mid-range smartphones and that it will deliver in large volumes from the second quarter 2015.

MediaTek's SoC MT6753 offers a processor octocore 64-bit, which is based on ARM Cortex A53 cores with an operating frequency of up to 1.5 GHz.
It also has a Mali-T720 graphics section capable of displaying the definition 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at 60 frames per second for a smooth multimedia experience, as well as a compatible modem part 4G / LTE at 150 Mbit / s and 3G at 42 Mbit / s. Without forgetting to mention the dual band Wi-Fi part.
Finally, it offers Bluetooth 4.0 for peripherals such as speakers, connected watches and sports bracelets, as well as a quality photo capture option. 16 megapixels or photo in 1080p.
We are now waiting to discover the first smartphones equipped with this MT6753 solution and the first benchmarks that will inevitably go with it.
