Alongside the Marathon M5 dual battery, the Chinese Gionee has formalized its high-end smartphone Elife E8 with 23.7 megapixel camera on the back which can generate 100 megapixel shots by interpolation.
Although it has regularly appeared previously, the Chinese manufacturer Gionee officialized its high-end smartphone in Beijing Elife E8 alongside the two-battery model M5 Marathon. The smartphone offers a 6-inch QHD AMOLED display and has a MediaTek Helio X10 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, but it is mainly its photo sensor that ensures its differentiation.
As seen earlier, the Elife E8 offers a 23.7 megapixel module able to take snapshots in 0.8 seconds with super-responsive autofocus and record videos in 4K / UHD, all helped by a True Tone LED flash.
It is announced under Android Lollipop for the equivalent of 570 euros in China but its equivalent Allview X2 Xtreme European would rather be positioned less than 500 euros.
