iOS 8 on 68% of iPhone and iPad

In early December, 63% of the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connecting to the App Store worked with iOS 8 (iOS 8.0.x or 8.1.x). A rate that had climbed a small point on the last statement from Apple for 2014 and dated December 22.

The end-of-year celebrations have been there and this adoption rate is now 68%. For iOS 7, it drops to 29% while it remains stable at 4% for earlier versions of the mobile operating system.

For comparison, on a similar time scale after its release in September 2013, iOS 7 had imposed itself more massively with an adoption rate of 78% on December 29, 2013 and 79% on January 12, 2014.

However, according to Flurry's data, more than half of the smartphones that were activated during Christmas were iPhones!

In the United States, a class action (opportunistic as in the case of Surface?) Is taking shape against Apple, pointing to the excessive and underreported greediness of iOS 8 in terms of storage space.
