The mobile OS iOS 8 is of particular importance in that it introduces new services preparing the Cupertino group to take advantage of essential ecosystems such as mobile payment (Apple Pay), health monitoring (Healthkit) or home automation (Homekit).
Beyond corrective updates, several minor changes are planned and in greater number than previously. The operating system has already moved to iOS 8.1 and the version iOS 8.2 is expected within a few weeks to prepare the arrival of the watch Apple Watch.
At least two more updates are expected before the next big upgrade iOS 9 and, as iOS 8.3 begins to arrive in the hands of developers, it's iOS 8.4 which reveals itself a little.
Bearing the code name Copper, it will only be offered after the launch of the connected watch and will therefore not arrive for several months. It could lead to the introduction of a music streaming service based on the acquisition of Beats Electronics and its platform Beats Music, observe the site 9to5Mac.
The latter specifies that the new features of iOS 8.4 could finally be integrated directly into the next iOS 9 (code name Monarch), probably announced during the next WWDC and launched in the fall with the new generation of iPhone, according to the usual calendar.
