Social media is officially waging a war over video control. A few months ago, Facebook already announced that it would prefer to host the videos of its users rather than just seeing them share links on YouTube, and a few days ago, Twitter launched Periscope in an attempt to recover users seduced by an application third in vogue: Meerkat.
For Facebook, however, this is not to offer live streaming, or to transform the user into a reporter for a day.
Riff offers a simple concept: the user publishes a video, then it can be taken up by his contacts to add content (editing, music, images, video …)
The whole is thus presented as a video equivalent of Marabout, the whole being published on Facebook to multiply initiatives.
The application is available for free on iOS and Android.
