As expected, Ubisoft has officially announced the development of the next installment of the Assassin's Creed series, revealing two videos including a dedicated to pre-alpha gameplay, images, information about its content as well as its release date.
Previously known as Assassin's Creed Victory, Assassin's Creed Syndicate presents itself as the next part of the famous Ubisoft saga developed by their Quebec-based studio. Freshly revealed by the latter, the title takes place in a London of 1868 and will stage two main protagonists, Jacob and Evie Frye, who turn out to be brother and sister.
The context takes place during the Industrial Revolution, again opposing the murderers to the Templars. The capital of England is made up of seven separate districts, which are run by a gang system.
The publisher has published two videos including one presenting nearly ten minutes of gameplay based on the pre-alpha version. This makes it possible to note the few novelties in terms of handling such as the use of a grapple launcher, a zip line, or even the possibility of driving horse-drawn carriages or even trains.
The combat system has also been refined, particularly in close combat, so as to gain in terms of possibilities for action.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate is slated to release October 23, 2015 on PS4 and Xbox One. Once is not custom, the PC version of the title will be rolled out later this fall.
