Once again, the Apple group will have to deal with a shortage at the launch of one of its products and it is this time the watch Watch that it is. This will begin its pre-order phase this Friday, April 10, before marketing on April 24.
But as pointed out for several months, the initial stocks will be low compared to a demand that analysts announce strong and if it will be possible to try the watch tomorrow in Apple Store stores and at Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
Pre-orders must go throughApple Online Store for a delivery that will start on April 24 but which could take several weeks depending on the model ordered. In her press release, the manager of the Apple Store Angela Ahrendts confirms that "given the phenomenal enthusiasm of people who visit our stores and the number of customers who consulted the online Apple Store to choose their favorite Apple Watch very early, we expect that the stocks available at launch will not be enough to satisfy this strong request".
She also underlines the pointlessness of queuing in front of the shops on D-Day since "To offer the best experience and the widest choice possible to a maximum of customers, we will exclusively accept orders placed online during the launch period."
The pre-order period will therefore be an opportunity to discover the connected watch and its functions during a "personalized session with a Specialist"but it will not allow to order directly in store.
