While OMG Torrent officials were arrested last week, the So-Torrent site decides on its own to close the store. A closure that is not really explained even if the proximity of the announcement to the OMG Torrent affair raises questions.
Actor of the French warez scene, So-Torrent was much more confidential. It was not a public BitTorrent tracker but a private one with some 5,000 registered members who were taken aback. The closure took effect almost immediately after the announcement.
The administrator of So-Torrent remained very vague while punctuating his message with: " You have to think about yourself and the future "He added that the database will be destroyed, while the content management system will not be released in order to avoid a recovery of the site.
