Already announced in 2014 under the name Alcatel One Touch Wave, the brand's first connected watch returned in January 2015 with a slight redesign of its design under the name Alcatel One Touch Watch.
Visible on the manufacturer's stand for the show MWC 2015 from Barcelona, ??we were able to take it in hand. With its round case and its redesigned front, it looks pretty good even if we are far from the finish of other watches like the LG Watch Urbane LTE or watch Huawei Watch.
The Alcatel One Touch Watch has a 1.22 inch 240 x 204 pixel display with, like the Moto 360, a strip that bars the bottom of the display. It is 10.5 mm thick and has Bluetooth and NFC wireless connectivity, all in a housing with IP67 protection to protect it from splashes.
The connected watch uses its own, rather colorful interface, and has several dials. It has a heart rate sensor on the back of the case which can work in conjunction with an application on an Android or iOS smartphone.
The battery offers only a capacity of 210 mAh but it embeds a microcontroller signed STMicroelectronics of low consumption. Note that recharging is done by USB but with a connector hidden in the bracelet.
The Alcatel One Touch Watch will be available for spring 2015 at the price of ? 129.
