Resolve streaming issues

The most common fixes for streaming issues are as follows.

  1. Make sure you have entered the correct password. Otherwise, reset it and try again.
  2. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. If in doubt, restart your connection like mobile data or your Wi-Fi.
  3. Close your Disney + application and restart it again.
  4. You can also try to sign out and sign back in to your Disney Plus account.
  5. Another possible solution is to simply clear the cache files (temporary files) from your streaming device, then restart the application.

Major errors

Some of the most common error codes and their fixes are described below.

Error code 24 – Wi-Fi problem

This error code usually appears when the speed of your Wi-Fi connection decreases. A simple solution for this is to restart or reset the router. If the problem persists, call your Internet service provider and report the problem.

Error code 39 – Xbox One problem

As the title suggests, it appears for Xbox One users. Just make sure you're not streaming your content to devices other than your game console at the same time. If you find one, just quit the service on that device and refresh your Xbox One.

Error code 42 – Connectivity problems

This is also another major problem faced by most viewers.

First, it could be a server problem on the Disney side itself. Unfortunately, in this case, there is nothing we can do but wait awhile, as this can be overwhelming response to subscriber content.

Second, this error code appears in the event of an Internet connectivity problem. Check your Internet speed and make sure it is above 5 Mbps for HD content and above 25 Mbps for 4K content. You can also check your Wi-Fi modem settings and check for the latest firmware update.

Error code 73 – Location availability problem

This error code appears in the event of an availability problem. Certain contents of Disney + services are specific to a particular location. You may experience this error when you try to view content that is not allowed in your location. In this case, you can use any VPN service to switch to the respective region and view this content.

Error code 83 – Device compatibility problem

This is one of the major issues reported by subscribers, which means there is a compatibility issue with your device. First, turn off and then turn on your device. Second, be sure to download the Disney + app from the App Store or Play Store, not from a third-party site. Then another problem may be with your operating system. Disney + may reject your device if you are running it on an older iOS or Android operating system. So download the latest operating system update from the OEMs.
