How to integrate payment by PayPal on WordPress?

Now, here's how to integrate PayPal on your WordPress site. It is one of the most widely used payment methods in the world and it is very easy to configure.

Adding PayPal as a payment method assumes that you have already installed the plugin WooCommerce and you have a PayPal Business account (free). Note that WooCommerce integrates dj Paypal Standard, this module allows your customers who have a PayPal account to buy your products and services from your site.

To start, go to tab extensions from your WordPress dashboard.

Click on add on the next page. Then just search for the plugin by typing its name on the search bar. When it is displayed, click on the corresponding install button and activate the plugin.

WooCommerce now appears on the right menu of your dashboard. Click on it then click on Settings.

You will see several tabs, including payments.

When you click on it, you will see the payment methods installed by default on WooCommerce, including PayPal Standard.

This payment method is the only one active on the screenshot below. In other words, customers will only have this choice when paying. Click on PayPal to configure the solution.

To receive payments on your PayPal account, you must mainly enter three pieces of information in the PayPal Standard settings of WooCommerce: your PayPal email as well as the API identifier and password.

To find these character strings, go to your PayPal Business account and log in. Then go to Preferences, Account settings, My sales then click on the button Update corresponding API access.

Now click on request API credentials.

Confirm on the next page by selecting Request an API signature.

Now just display the newly generated character strings and copy and paste them to your WordPress dashboard.

Then click on the button Save change on WordPress so that the system takes your information into account.

You are now able to receive payments from 286 million potential buyers with a PayPal account.
