Waiting for the return, the next entry-level MacBook should be available for $ 1,200.
Many analysts, including those from DigiTimes and TrendForce (but also the famous Ming-Chi Kuo) agree that a new low-cost MacBook will be released. This would carry an Intel Kaby Lake processor, a 13-inch screen, and should be offered at a price of $ 1,200 (the cheapest of this range is sold 1.499 on the Apple site). TrendForce nevertheless points out that it could be a brand new model of MacBook Air, given the size of the screen. Previous rumors mentioned the presence of a Retina display for this low cost model, which would be a significant addition to the MacBook Air which was previously without it. This range is usually priced below $ 1,000, so will it be the same product or two separate products?
