Cook is well aware of the impact of discrimination on society. He grew up in Alabama in the 1960s, a very complicated historical period. His message for the civil rights movement is loud and clear today, on the occasion of Black History Month.

Black History Month is an annual commemoration of the history of the African diaspora launched in 1976. It is celebrated in February in the United States and Canada and in October in the United Kingdom. (Wikipdia)
