Jailbreak: the master's demonstration of its usefulness

enero 30, 2020

Jay Freeman, aka Saurik, was one of the conference guests Mobile Connections, which took place from April 17 to 21 in Las Vegas. An interview, broadcast on video, was entirely devoted to him. It was during this that the creator of Cydia (the application manager) was happy to explain the multiple reasons that can encourage users jailbreak their iDevice. This jailbreak so much the only way to be able to access the store of applications not supported by Apple and which is better known under the name of Cydia.

During the demonstration, Jay shows us the interest of these applications not available in native, and which very often have no equivalent in the App Store. It lends itself to the game of its interlocutor by passing the best of its directory in review. In the video presented, you will therefore have the pleasure of discovering the following applications:

– Five Icon Dock (Five applications on the dock simultaneously) – Barrel (Bring your icons to life when switching from one screen to the next) – SBSettings (Activate / Deactivate essential functions in multi-touch (3G, Wi -Fi, Airplane Mode,) – qTweeter (Post a tweet in a few seconds) – Voicemail Forwarder (Send your voice messages by email) – Graviboard (Surprise your friends and family by losing your icons) – LockInfo (Your calendar – SMS – mto – mail – etc – in the background) – Color Keyboard (Change the color of your keyboard)

As the past has often shown us, some of them may well end up in a future version of iOS.

Finally, as Saurik explains, the tools for jailbreak have become very easy to use these days (redsn0w – Greenpois0n) and if the jailbreak does not suit you, a simple restore from iTunes and everything disappears.

We discuss it on the forum.
