Ogone formalizes its payment application

enero 27, 2020

It is now official for the main electronic payment platform in Belgium, Ogone, which has just unveiled m-Terminal, its new mobile application designed to transform the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch into payment terminals.

Intended, inter alia, for merchants or the liberal professions in a situation of mobility (payment on delivery, taxi companies, home consultations, on-site services, etc.), Ogone m-Terminal allows payments to be received – and reimbursements to be made – by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and ELV, a widely used direct debit in Germany, from an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Available in 5 languages ??(French, English, Dutch, German, Italian), transactions can be carried out in 4 currencies: euro, pound sterling, US dollar, Swiss franc. Ogone m-Terminal also provides direct access to the latest transactions on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, as well as to the Ogone management module.

Mobile e-payment

Concretely, a payment by card via the Ogone m-Terminal application on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is very close to an online payment: after entering their specific PIN code, the merchant enters the number and the expiration date and the cryptogram of the debit card. The transaction data is securely transferred to Ogone's PCI-DSS certified platform.

m-Terminal also adds ease of commercial management: if necessary, the merchant can immediately reimburse (full or partial) his client.

View transaction history

In addition to credit card payments, the m-Terminal allows merchants to access their Ogone management module to consult the latest transactions made and sort them according to criteria such as the amount, date or merchant identifier of the transaction. .

Ogone m-Terminal is free to download on the App Store.

Note that to be able to carry out transactions from this application, the merchant must have a contract with an acquiring bank authorizing him to accept payments by credit card, and a contract with Ogone. The use of the built-in demonstration function is permanent and unlimited.

We discuss it on the forum.
