The iPhone 4 camera is capable of taking photos up to 5 mgapixels. However, the Camera Me app prides itself on being able to capture photos up to … 12 mgapixels. How is it possible? According to the developer, the application integrates an algorithm allowing to increase the number of pixels while reducing "the noise" on the said photo.
Of course, the final image will never reach the quality of a photo taken with a true 12 mgapixel sensor. However, the results obtained remain surprising to say the least.
Beyond this image quality rendered artificially, Camera Me offers 18 filters – including the Tilt Shift – to give interesting effects to your photos.
Available for 1.59 on the App Store.
