Apple TV + announces launch dates for next series

Apple has announced the release dates of several series on Apple TV +, which will be available between spring and summer 2020. The Cupertino company also shares some information about their content.

Spielberg - Apple TV +

?Amazing Stories?, a science fiction series produced by Steven Spielberg, will be presented on March 6. The content will offer an updated version of the Amazing Stories series released for the first time from 1985 1987. The series will focus on a new different subject for each episode, without any common thread, a bit as seen in series such as ?Black Mirror? and ?Twilight Zone?. Apple says every episode in the series will transport audiences to worlds of wonder through the lens of today's most imaginative filmmakers and screenwriters .

The cast includes among others Dylan O'Brien (?Maze Runner?, ?Teen Wolf?), Victoria Pedretti (?You?), Josh Holloway (?Lost?, ?Yellowstone?), Sasha Alexander (?Rizzoli & Isles?, ?Shameless?) and Robert Forster (?Twin Peaks?). The series will be available at the end of March.

Amazing Stories - Apple TV +

?Central Park?, the animated series of Apple TV + created by the creator of ?Bob?s Burgers?, Loren Bouchard, will be previewed this summer. "Central Park" tells the story of a family of wardens who live and work in Central Park and end up saving the world. The show will feature voices from Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Tituss Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs and Kathryn Hahn.

?Defending Jacob?, with Chris Evans and Michelle Dockery, will debut on Apple TV + on Friday, April 24. This is a dramatic series about a shocking crime in a small town in Massachusetts. It stars a district attorney divided between love for her son and his duty to stand up for justice.

"Home Before Dark", a series dedicated to the story of children's journalist Hilde Lysiak, will be previewed on Friday, April 3. The series follows the story of a girl who moves from Brooklyn to a small town on the lake, where her father was born and lived. His search for the truth led him to discover a story that everyone in the city tried to bury. The series will feature Brooklynn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Kylie Rogers, Adrian Hough and others.

Home Before Dark - Apple TV +

The documentary series ?Home?, devoted to ?the most innovative houses in the world?, will be previewed on Friday April 17. Apple claims that each episode unveils the imagination that pushes the boundaries of visionaries who dare to dream and build .

Home - Apple TV +

Apple has also announced a new series produced by a creative team from the United Kingdom, ?Trying?. The series will be launched on Friday May 1st. The series is described as a look at grow up, settle down and find someone to love . The cast will be composed among others by Rafe Spall and Esther Smith as Jason and Nikki, a couple who wants a baby but can not have one.

Trying - Apple TV +

Inspired by Apple Dear Apple commercials, "Dear …" will try to provide a new cinematic approach to telling some of the most iconic characters in today's society. in their own way, they will not only be the protagonists but also the fate of storytellers thanks to the use of a few letters written with their own hand and in which they tell how their life has completely changed thanks to work. The series will be available from June 5.

Apple also announced today the renewal of ?Mythic Quest: Raven?s Banquet? for a second season. The first season will be available from February 7.

In the coming months, various content will arrive on Apple TV +, after a lean period that lasted several weeks.
